State Assistance For Housing Relief (SAFHR)

SAFHR Mortgage Assistance Counseling Program (SAFHR-MAC)

The purpose of SAFHR-MAC is to support programs within Missouri communities that work to prevent homeowner mortgage delinquencies, defaults, foreclosures, and displacements of homeowners experiencing financial hardship since January 21, 2020.

SAFHR Housing Stability & Eviction Diversion (SAFHR-HSED)

The purpose of the State Assistance for Housing Relief (SAFHR) Housing Stability and Eviction Diversion (HSED) program is to support programs within Missouri communities that work to prevent eviction and help to ensure long-term housing stability. These funds should be coordinated with the Missouri Housing Development Commissions’ (MHDC) SAFHR rental and utility assistance program to increase access to the SAFHR application and to provide additional legal and case management services.

The 2021-2022 SAFHR-HSED application period has closed. Please visit SAFHR housing partner resources for updates about the re-opening of the application anticipated to be announced at the end of 2022:

COVID-19 Relief Fund (CRF)

CRF funds should be utilized to quickly identify and assist low-to-moderate income households that have either become homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless due to the economic impact of COVID-19.
