Utilization by Housing Type

This dashboard tracks the total number of sheltered persons by housing type and household type over the 2018-2020 period by CoC. Utilization of housing is further subdivided by gender, race and ethnicity, and subpopulation. These counts originate from local HMIS data that CoCs provide to HUD annually. LSA data breaks housing types into three major categories: grouped ES, SH, and TH (for which all clients are considered homeless); Rapid Rehousing (RRH); and Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH). Individual counts are classified by three household types: individuals in family households with at least one adult and one child, adult-only households, and households of children only (i.e., unaccompanied minors). Subpopulation categories in LSA data include disabled and veteran households.
