Sheltered vs. Unsheltered

This dashboard summarizes annual Point-in-Time (PIT) homeless counts by sheltered and unsheltered status for the years 2018-2022 in the state of Missouri. For the PIT count, the status of a person experiencing homelessness is sheltered when overnight accommodation on the night of the count is at an emergency shelter, transitional housing or Safe Haven housing. Counts are broken down by Continuum of Care (CoC) region, and further segmented by gender, race and ethnicity, and subpopulation. In addition, the dashboard provides total counts of families experiencing homelessness by shelter status for 2018-2022.
